AwfulAbyss.net exists in three spaces: the gallery as a sculptural event live on the web and in the documentation and animation of the month long event.
On January, 29th 2009 I attached 208 helium filled balloons to a lawn-chair and floated it above the floor of the Colby Sawyer College Merian Graves Mugar gallery.
Every 10 minutes throughout the month of February an image was taken of the installation and transferred to the site IYearnToThrowMyselfIntoEndlessSpaceAndFloatAbove
TheAwfulAbyss.net where the viewer could track the chair's ascent and eventual descent.  A copy of each photo was saved locally and assembled into the works documentation.
